Chris Washburne, trombone

Dr. Chris Washburne is a Grammy winning trombonist, composer and bandleader. He has made over 150 recordings and performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri and Celine Dion. Washburne is Chair of the Music Department at Columbia University and Founder of its Louis Armstrong Jazz Performance Program.

Ali Ryerson, flute

With a career spanning over 5 decades, jazz flutist Ali Ryerson consistently ranks among the top flutists in the Downbeat Jazz Poll. Her father, Art Ryerson, was a renowned NYC studio jazz guitarist. Ali has carried on the family tradition, becoming an international touring and recording artist. Ali conducts masterclasses worldwide and is a Gemeinhardt Artist with an Autograph series of flutes.

Chris Pasin, trumpet

Chris Pasin is a jazz trumpeter and producer. In the 1980’s, he toured with the Buddy Rich band for two years alongside Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald and Nancy Wilson. Later in New York City, he performed with the Toshiko Akiyoshi/Lew Tabackin big band, Jack McDuff and the Lee Shaw quintet. Chris has recorded with Gunther Schuller, George Russell, Ran Blake, John Esposito, Baird Hersey and Tony Levin, and produced four albums as a leader including Baby, It’s Cold Outside with pianist Armen Donelian.
